So this was one of the first drawings I did with the Wacom Intuos4 pen tablet, and Photoshop CS5. I have had some experience with wacom and photoshop prior to this photo a few years ago. I do admit the rose is pretty blurry, it could use sharpness around the edges of the petals near the center of the rose. I do love the lighting and specks rising from the rose. The background was created with a gradient and the rose was drawn from scratch. The specks were used with a brush, there are tons of brushes for Photoshop that are great for painting and adding nice effects to your work.
